Jamie Kinch’s Fundraising for Heading Home: 5 in 5

It’s been a while since I have raised money for a great charity, right now more than ever, I feel compelled to do something to help people in need.

Last year I set myself the challenge to recover from knee surgery so that I could complete 5 half ironmans in 5 consecutive days. I’ve been quietly planning this for a while and it is now time to commit and share this with you all. I hope you will be moved to donate to an amazing charity Heading Home https://www.headinghomeinc.org/.

Heading Home provides emergency shelter, transitional, and permanent housing for low-income families and individuals. What strikes me is not just that they house and shelter 250+ families every night, in and around Boston (which including approximately 500 children) but most of these families are cared for by a single mom/mum. I have so much admiration and respect for these mums/moms.

Right now the world is in a crazy place, too many people are in challenging situations. I hope that I can make a small impact on my doorstep with your support.

Day 1 will be June 24th.

5 Days x 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile cycle & 13.1 mile run. Total of 351.5 miles.
