Every year, Heading Home supports 600+ kids and their families. The average age of a child in Heading Home’s programs is only 8 years old.
On average, parents spend $529 on school supplies per child every year. This year, our annual Backpack Buddies drive collected more than $20,000 in backpacks and school supplies – ensuring EVERY student in Heading Home programs started the year with a brand new, fully-stocked backpack filled to the brim with essential school supplies and alleviating the financial burden for extremely low-income families.
