As our name and mission reflect, our clients can best thrive in a home; permanent housing programs remain at the core of our services. Since 2006, Heading Home has created more than 350 units of new, permanent housing for our clients in Greater Boston, with a plan to create an additional 120 new units and develop 3 new housing properties by 2016.
Our shelter and transitional housing programs create a supported bridge toward our end goal of providing permanent housing as quickly as we can – - and helping our clients remain permanently housed.
Our model of providing housing together with critical services works: 90% of the residents in our permanent housing programs have remained successfully housed for 8 consecutive years.
