Northern Bank, Sony Michel and 98.5 Sports Hub Help End Homelessness in Boston

Northern Bank Donate $62,000 in Partnership with Sony Michel and 98.5 the Sports Hub to Help End Homelessness in Boston

At the beginning of the 2018-2019 football season, Northern Bank, a Massachusetts-based community and business bank, teamed up with New England Patriots Player Sony Michel and 98.5 the Sports Hub for their “Taking it to the House” campaign. As part of the campaign, Northern Bank donated $1,000 to Heading Home for every New England touchdown during the season.

Sony Michel and New England finished with a stellar season, culminating with another championship. The team scored 51 touchdowns throughout the regular season. Due to the success of the program, Northern Bank extended the campaign through the playoffs bringing the total amount donated to $62,000!

Jim Mawn, President and CEO of Northern Bank, along with his team used this creative cause marketing campaign to make a meaningful contribution to Heading Home. Jim wanted to make an even bigger impact and committed an additional $38,000 in sponsorships for Heading Home, bringing their yearly contribution to $100,000.

Jim and the entire Northern Bank team have been incredible advocates and partners, participating in volunteer activities and believing wholeheartedly in helping Heading Home families and adults leave homelessness behind.

Thank you to Jim and Northern Bank for their thought leadership, support, and creativity in making such a significant investment in the lives of some of the most vulnerable in our community.
